This is the website of Joseph Alessi, who happens to be my favorite trombonist! The site not only tells about Mr. Alessi's professional life but also offers a question and answer section and a discussion forum. Also, you can order his recordings and get up-to-date information on any concerts or masterclasses he is presenting, including the Alessi Seminar.

Doug Yeo is the bass trombonist with the Boston Symphony. His website offers an unbelieveable amount of free information for alto, tenor and bass trombonists alike.

Jim Miller playes associate principal trombone with the LA Philharmonic and is my current teacher at NC School of the Arts. He is one of the best trombonists I've ever had the opportunity to work with and his site is just downright cool!

Jim Markey is the young associate principal of the NY Philharmonic. His website has some interesting things but best of all, it has information on his CD which is outstanding to say the least.

Ron Barron's site has a good amount of information including articles he has written for the ITA Journal. Also available are his recordings and excerpts from his masterclasses.

Online Trombone Journal

The online trombone journal is perhaps the largest collection of resources for the trombonist available on the internet. The content of their page ranges from articles to job openings and classified ads to the largest discussion forum online. This page is a great resource for professionals and amateurs alike.

Stacy's Trombone Page

Stacy's page has various pieces of information such as audition rep lists for major auditions in the last several decades as well as upcoming auditions and results. Also, I think we can all benifit from the reminder offered by the address!

Edwards makes some of the finest trombones that I've ever played. Several of the best trombonists on earth play Edwards insruments and for good reason. Their line of trombones is completely customizable, from the lead pipe to the tuning slide to the bell. If you ever get a chance to play one, take it!

North Carolina School of the Arts

The NC School of the Arts has one of the largest and best performance programs for students ranging in age from high school to the post-masters level. This is the school where I will be studying for my Master of Music degree.

University of North Carolina at Greensboro

The UNCG School of Music is where I received my Bachelor of Music in Performance. The school has a great education program and also offers a performance program, though it is not quite as focused as a conservatory.
