Welcome to seandevlin.com!

Thanks for stopping by and viewing my website. Recent additions include a miscellaneous section, where I've posted an arrangement of mine for trombone choir as well as some of my original compositions from Tonal Counterpoint, and a personal page. Under the personal page, I'll post more information about myself that isn't trombone related, as well as include some links to photographs and my music collection. Some sections will be password protected, but others will be open to the public. If you want more information on that, please read the note I've included on the actual page.

If you've gotten here off one of my business cards and are looking for a trombonist, my resume and personal recordings section are both available. Also available are my biography and my links section. Please feel free to send me an e-mail if you need a trombonist for private instruction, a masterclass, or performance, or if you would simply like to say hi.

Recent Update:

Well...it sure has been a while since I've updated this site, but here is the next installment of updated material and info about me.  First I've added four arrangements that I've done to the Miscellaneous section.  Also, I'm putting my updated performance calendar of both performances I'll be in, and ones I think people may find to be of interest.  Also, I'm putting up some new recordings of myself.  I'll add in what I have so far, and will also get around to ripping some recordings from my recital CD's.  On a more personal trombone note...I've recently found out that I am one of three finalists for the ITA excerpt competition. I was blown away by the news, but I'll be posting some of my audition material on my recordings section as well.  Time for me to kick it into gear and start practicing!!!  Also, I've just finished my second Masters Recital.  It was a recital of (mostly) 20th century music.   The only exception was the Meditation from Thais (which was written in 1898, so...).  I'll put in the three pictures I created this year right under this post as links - they're large so I didn't want them to load in the actual page.

Crop Bones (a take off of the crop circles)
Bone Landing (I can imagine Neil Armstrong had a trombone with him when he made history)

Not So Recent Update:

I've recently added in a performance calendar, as well as two items to my miscellaneous page (a trombone choir arrangement and a trombone arrangement of a cello work). Also, my first graduate recital is finally over! It went well and if I got any good recordings of the pieces, I'll most likely post them in the recordings section some time in the future. Below is the graphic I created to place on my recital posters. I apologize if the graphic is too large for your screen...it's best if your resolution is set at 1024 x 768 or higher. The picture is in black and white because the best photo I had of my face was a black and white picture taken with my digital camera for my career development class. For more information on the program, go to the performances section of the website! I'll leave this picture up a little while longer and then store it away in the personal section.
